INSTALLATION 1. Insert disc into your CD-ROM drive and wait for the Autoplay window to appear. 2. Click the button labeled "Install" and follow the instructions. The installer will create directories on your hard drive and install the files it needs to run this program. Unless you tell it otherwise, it will create a BTW (Books That Work) directory and a subdirectory on your C: drive. You can change the drive and directory by choosing a different location. The installer will also create an program group in your Start menu. The default group name is Books That Work, but you will be given the option to select a different group. HOW TO RUN The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver -Insert the The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver CD-ROM into your CD drive. A dialog box will appear and prompt you to run the program. OR - Click on The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver icon in the Books That Work program group in your Start menu. - If the Autoplay doesn't work and if this shortcut doesn't appear in your Start menu then use Windows Explorer to find the Ortho directory on your local drive (Under BTW) and double-click on Ortho.exe. If you try to run this application without the CD in your drive and an error message appears: - Insert The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver CD. - Wait 3 seconds. - Select "Retry" from the error message box. TROUBLESHOOTING If The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver crashes or behaves strangely when you run it, you may have the incorrect version of Microsoft Internet Explorer installed on your computer. Try to uninstall any version you may have from the Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel. Then run the "msie301.exe" from the CD-ROM located in d:\IExplore\ (substitute your CD-ROM drive letter if it is other than "d"). PRINTING To change how your printed page looks, open up Microsoft Internet Explorer and go to File...Page Setup..., then click on Headers/Footers... This will allow you to change the text that appears in each corner of the page when you print a Topic Screen including title, date, time, and page number. Click on Help (F1) to see a list of options. UNINSTALLING The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver Choose "The Ortho Home Gardener's Problem Solver" from the "Add/Remove Program" applet from your Control Panel. You can bring up the "Control Panel" by clicking the "Start" menu and choosing "Settings".
